Pedestal - The pedestal sump pump is positioned above the sump basin, and is generally easier to access and service.

Submersible - Submersible sump pumps sit inside the basin, and are carefully sealed to prevent electrical short circuits.

Figuring out the type of sump pump that’s right for you will depend mostly on where you live; if basement flooding is a common threat, or your basement is below the water table level, an automatic submersible pump might necessary. If you only experience occasional water level threats, then a manual pedestal pump might be better suited for the job. Either way, Air Duct Pro is happy to help you address your needs, and make your home a more durable and safer place to live.
